Ingredients

1 whole baguette, sliced into ¼ inch slices

12 ounces evaporated milk

1 cup fresh milk

¾ teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Directions

1. Arrange your bread slices in an oiled oven proof dish by slightly overlapping each slice

2. In a large bowl whisk together your evaporated milk, fresh milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt and eggs then pour in the baking dish with your bread slices. Refrigerate for 8 hours covered with aluminum foil.

3. In the morning after, pop this dish in a 350 degree F oven for around 30 minutes till fully cooked and top with chopped pecans, maple syrup and more cinnamon. Serve on plates with some scrambled eggs if you wish or some ham from the deli.
