Question by : Favorite crock pot recipes?
Hi! I just got a crock pot for Christmas. I was wondering if anyone had some favorite recipes that are cheap and easy? I’m a college student with not a whole lot of money nor a ton of time. But I am so excited to use this! Thanks guys!

  1. I love my crockpot and use it often. Here’s one of my favorite recipes:

1 Pork Butt (very inexpensive and great flavor!)
    1 yellow onion
    2 jars Chili Verde Sauce
    Salt and pepper

Season Pork with salt and pepper. Cut onion into 8ths and place in bottom of crockpot. Place meat on top. Pour 1 jar Chili Verde Sauce over pork, cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Remove meat from liquid. Reserve 1 cup liquid and some of the onion. Discard the rest. Return meat to pot with reserved liquid and second jar of Chili Verde Sauce. Shred meat with two forks. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with shredded cheese and flour tortillas. If you want to zest it up, add some jalapeno peppers and black beans to the meat (drain the beans first. I also like kidney beans).
