Thanksgiving is fast approaching and I guess everyone is already well stocked with all the food stuffs and goodies for this special occasion…especially the Turkey!
However most of us leave out the stuffing as a lot don’t usually care to eat it when the buffet spread is set up. So I have made a really great remedy for everyone with this one of a kind Healthy and Gluten Free Stuffing which is a really big hit whenever I cook my Turkey for the said occasion. Don’t be turned off though if you want some meat in there, cause this recipe of mine has been proven and tested to be made with some chorizo, sausage or other meat you may think of.
With this great gluten free and healthy stuffing not only will you be feasting on some great food you will also be rewarded with some great health benefits this recipe brings as it is very low in calories and fats. So everyone grab a plate and enjoy this stuffing with that perfectly roasted and juicy Turkey in the comfort of your home with great friends and family!
3 cups gluten free bread cubes, toasted
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, diced
1 carrot, diced
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon thyme
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
¼ cup white wine
½ cup gluten free chicken broth
2 tablespoons parsley
1. In a large saute pan, melt your butter and saute the onions, celery and carrots for 2 minutes. Add in your sage, thyme and season with Salt & pepper. Deglaze with white wine and set aside.
