Healthy Grilled Salmon

Salmon as we all know it is a great and healthy fish which is rich in omega 3’s without that added fat. Salmon may also be a great source of protein and will be your best choice in going into a diet without sacrificing great flavors.

In this recipe of mine, I’ve highlighted the Salmon with some honey and soy then served it with some even healthier edamame. Also serving this one of a kind fish with a lemon wedge to squeeze on top will further give it that freshness and bright flavors this fish deserves.

Enjoy this healthy recipe an feel free to change up the edamame with other vegetables or maybe some couscous with sun-dried tomatoes to give you that energy you may need for the whole day.

 

Ingredients

4 tablespoons cilantro, chopped

3 scallions, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

Salt and Pepper to taste

2 salmon Fillets, skin on

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon honey

Pinch of black sesame seeds

1 cup cooked edamame

Lemon wedges for garnish

 

Directions

1. In a small bowl mix together your scallions, cilantro, ginger and oil then pour on your salmon fillets while seasoning with salt and pepper.

2. Preheat your grill to high and make your honey soy baste for the salmon by mixing together the honey, soy and lemon juice.

3. Grill your salmon skin side down while basting regularly with the honey soy sauce until fully cooked through around 6 -7 minutes.

4. Serve on a plate with some edamame and lemon wedges and enjoy this healthy and satisfying meal with great friends. Also this dish will go well with some nicely chilled chardonnay.
