Moules Mariniere

Moules is a French term or otherwise known as mussels is a very popular ingredient around the world especially in the countries which are surrounded by oceans. The Moules Mariniere is one of the most famous seafood French dish which can remind almost everyone of home as it tastes very homey and earthy. With this recipe you can really taste the ocean as it is highlighted by the flavors of the cooked mussels which is incorporated with the richness of the butter and the freshness of the parsley. By serving it with a drizzle of lemon juice, you will be able to heighten this dish to further taste like the ocean. Ingredients

1 pound mussels, washed and cleaned

2 tablespoons Bioitalia lemon olive oil

1 shallot, chopped

2 garlic cloves, chopped

½ cup Hy.brid Pinot Grigio white wine

¼ cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons butter, diced

¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Bourbon Smoked Gourmet Salt and Pepper to taste

Crusty bread and a wedge of lemon to serve

 

Directions

1. Saute your garlic and shallots in a large pot with olive oil in medium heat till softened.
