Weeknight Waffle Pizza

Everybody loves pizza but not everyone can be capable of making one at home unless you buy some pre-packaged pizza crusts. However I know everyone loves waffles too right? So why not combine these two favorites and have a waffle pizza! Sweet and savory at the same time with all the cheesy goodness every pizza lover desires.

This is perfect for your family on a weeknight as it is very easy and fast to cook with little to no mess and even your kids will enjoy creating their own along the way. Feel free to change up the toppings according to your desire. Think about your most favorite pizza flavor from your local pizza place and try to recreate it on a waffle. Trust me I have had countless weeknights of fun with this recipe. Even my friends enjoy it when they come over and my family requests this fun weeknight food every time.

Ingredients

1 pack waffle mix

1 bottle pizza sauce or marinara sauce

1 large white onion, sliced

½ cup black olives, sliced

½ cup bell peppers sliced

2 cups ham or pepperoni

2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

¼ cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Potato chips on the side

 

Directions

1. Cook your waffles according to packages instructions (you may need a waffle iron for this) then set aside.

2. Place your cooked waffles on a plate and top with the mozzarella cheese and the cheddar cheese first then follow with some onions, black olives, bell peppers and ham or pepperoni

3. Place in a preheated oven for around 2 – 3 minutes till cheese has melted and take out, slice and serve with some potato chips on the side (or on top for some crunch if you wish) Don’t forget to have fun along the way!
